DAIP to Recognize Exceptional DEI Leaders at 13th Annual Awards Event: ‘Rooted in Equity’

Providence, RI – August 08, 2024 – Diversity and Inclusion Professionals (DAIP) is proud to announce its 13th Annual Leadership in Diversity & Inclusion Awards, themed “Rooted in Equity.” This year’s event will take place on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Farm Fresh Rhode Island, located at 10 Sims Ave Unit 103, Providence, RI 02909.

DAIP, a 501(c)(3) organization, offers timely educational programming, resources, and networking opportunities for professionals across sectors and industries. We operate on the principle that diversity, equity, and inclusion are crucial elements of business and community success.

“We are thrilled to host the 13th Annual Leadership in Diversity & Inclusion Awards. DAIP has had the privilege of providing a safe, engaging environment for professionals to explore complex and challenging DEIJ topics for well over a decade, and our annual awards allow us to honor those who are true leaders in the field,” said Kevin Matta, president of the DAIP board of directors. “This year’s awards are especially meaningful as they underscore our commitment to equity and our resolve to stand firm in our DEI work.”

Silvermoon LaRose, a renowned advocate for Indigenous rights and a prominent voice in the movement for equity and inclusion will be our keynote speaker. Her inspiring words and powerful message will set the tone for an evening celebrating diversity and fostering community.

DAIP is committed to honoring exceptional talent and leaders in the field of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Recognizing these individuals and organizations not only highlights their significant contributions but also inspires continued progress toward a more inclusive and equitable society.

Kevin Matta  (he, him, his) is a strategic differentiator, comfortable challenging the status quo, and brings both passion and experience to ensure client success and human engagement with his brilliant ability to make connections.

Kevin’s interest in justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion work developed as he witnessed his parents encounter inequities and injustices while navigating the American healthcare and workplace landscape. His passion for this work continues to be strengthened by the systemic injustices people around the world continue to experience.

Kevin serves as president of DAIP’s board of directors.
